2003 DISTRICT SECME OLYMPIAD COMPETITION

Description of Events

POSTER

General Rules:
• Each entry is to be prepared and submitted by an individual student (not team).
• An individual middle school student will compete only with other middle school students.
• An individual high school student will compete only with other high school students.

Theme:
• The theme for the 2003 SECME Competition is: “SECME: V Vehicle ehicle of the Future-Engineered for Success” Note: Students must choose a specific title within this broad theme. The 2003 SECME theme must appear on the poster poster.

Requirements: Title Card 4” X 6”
• Title of poster: Based on the 2003 Theme
  Student’s name, grade, age
  Home address, zip code and telephone number
  School name and address, Miami-Dade County Public Schools
  SECME School Coordinator’s name, Date
• Poster The size of the poster is required to be 22” X 28” (including frame). All posters must be framed in standard 22”X28” black, slide-on plastic poster frames. Framed posters are not to use glass. The theme must appear on the poster poster. Poster must be an original work using any medium:

• cut and paste
• hand-drawn (paints, charcoal, markers, crayon)
• computer (complete work cannot be computer-generated)
• any combination of the above.(Three-dimensional posters are not allowed.)
